The group was set up to bring together developers with a common interest in PHP and related technologies and to form a basis for effective PHP advocacy in Nepal. It is a community site for people to get together and get to know one another. It is about community and friendship. If you consider yourself part of the PHP community, you are encouraged to take part! If you're interested in assisting with the group (administratively, as a potential speaker at meetings, or sponsoring hosting or anything else you can think of) please either email the list. Finally, PHP 5.3.0 is Released.

The PHP development team has released PHP 5.3.0.

New Memcached Extension for PHP

The new extension is to leverage the functionality contained libmemcached - a solution which has been widely adopted across many scripting communities and beyond. The extension is available in PECL and has lots of shiny new functionality.
